“One can never have enough socks," said Dumbledore. "Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books.”

It's Snowing!
We got snow last night...the kind that's still on the grass, but just leaves the cement wet. However, I'm more inspired than ever to play the Christmas tunes! Went to help out the gal who does Toys for Tots this morning...organizing and sorting the few leftover toys from last year as they gear up for the donations for this year! She was very excited when she found out it was me who manned the stocking stuffer rooms last year, apparently I made things flow fairly smoothly! She begged me to repeat the performance this year, which is fine, since I'd already signed up for that shift on the 19th! Nice to be needed...and appreciated! So, that's my latest holiday story...love you all! Mom

Everyone seems to be getting in the spirit of the season. Thanksgiving is coming in just a few days. Is there someone in your life (teacher, professor, co-worker, friend) who you are especially grateful for? And, what can you do to thank them for their influence in your life? We don't need to share that information here, but, please, think about it. Dadios

Christmas Spirit
Nice to see you all posting as much as possible. I was thinking about past Christmas' today, and I have to say that I am more relieved to see this season here than I have ever been before. I love Christmas. I love the spirit it brings and the miracles that happen. I think that in a lot of ways this is going to be both the greatest and the hardest holiday season I have ever expereinced. Thanks to Mom, I have been singing I'll be home for Christmas (well, thanks to her and the news story about it when some principal tried to make his choir sing I'll be home for WINTER instead) for days. If only in my dreams is right though. It may be in my dreams--and I will be dreaming about home a lot--but I know that we will be together in spirit. I thought that posting this would help my homesickness, but it is kind of making it worse. Shoot! So, here is a picture from Christmas past...considering all the posts left recently, I thought it was appropriate.
To all...
Sign your posts, Holly was very clear on this matter. We can't tell who you are otherwise because we all use the same login. Mom, your's are obvious so you don't have to.

Ummmmm....
I'm slowly figuring this out. We will see you all for 'early Christmas' and then will be doing Christmas at the Lommel's. I don't know if it has been decided yet but we will be at Ali and Adam's place either Chistmas Eve or day for "Casserole Christmas" where we each make a casserole to sample/gorge ourselves on. Which reminds me. Mom, will you please send me the recipe for Cheesy Ham and Noodle Casserole? Thanks and Love, Adam

Plans
I don't know what everyone's plans for Christmas are. Where will everyone be spending the holiday this year? Nick and I are headed to Nashville for about a week. We are excited to see Stef and Matt and the kumquat...oh, and Elle. It can't come fast enough if you ask me. Miss you all!

The New Holiday Season!
I am so excited to be starting the blog again for this season! I feel closer to everyone when we use it and I hope those less frequent users will join in this year. The lists will show up on the blog when you start posting your gift wishes. I'll email everyone again when I figure out what the email is to log in with. Otherwise I'll create a new one.
